About Icelab
Icelab was founded in 2010 as a joint initative by the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science, the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, and the Department of Physics. Icelab's mission is to engage in cross-cutting research and education in areas where the quantitative sciences, social sciences, and life sciences intersect.
As of 2010, Icelab's core consists of 4 assistant professors, about 8 PhD students, and 7 postdoctoral scholars.
