RiseB:s annual thesis price in Sustainability and Business Ethics is awarded to Alexander Adolfsson Grimsen and Marie Åström, Umeå School of Business and Economics. Congratulations!
[2017-05-04] The thesis entitled “Development Finance Institutions’ Effect on The Fund Manager’s Investment Decisions: Balancing Financial Performance Goals and Development Impact Objectives” will be awarded 25.000 SEK at Umeå School of Business and Economics’ graduation ceremony the 2nd of June. The jury would also like to honorably mention the 2nd runner up Vira Sadovska, SLU, and the 3rd runners up Johan Andersson/Robin Weiderstål, Dalarna University.
The jury mention in their decision that the winning thesis “introduces Development Finance Institutions to the research on sustainable investments”. The thesis is also of practice relevance for fund managers’ work and builds on an interview study of very good quality.
The thesis supervisor was Richard Olsson. It is the first time that a thesis from the Umeå School of Business and Economics is awarded the price. Congratulations Richard and Umeå!
The price, which is handed out as a scholarship, has been made financially possible through RiseB: s collaboration with Umeå Energi.
